The Erasmus+ DELTA Project

Clare Barman participated in the Erasmus+ DELTA project in 2019 as a representative from IADT, bringing her expertise in higher education to the initiative. Her involvement focused on leveraging Erasmus+ mobility opportunities, such as job shadowing and peer observation, to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment practices within her discipline. Through the project, Clare contributed to cross-institutional collaboration and professional development among Irish higher education staff.

Project Overview
Purpose: The Erasmus+ DELTA project supports the professional development of staff in Irish higher education, with a particular emphasis on improving teaching and learning both within and between academic disciplines.

Activities: Participants engaged in Erasmus+ mobility for training, including job shadowing and peer observation, to promote innovative approaches in their subject areas.

Outputs and Recognition
Staff who completed the DELTA mobility and demonstrated disciplinary enhancement received a digital badge from the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning.

Participants were expected to:
-Share their learning with colleagues.
-Complete feedback forms.
-Contribute to broader teaching and learning enhancement within their institutions.
