In Dream Kitchen, a young man returns home to find his dad working on the car and his mum busy in the kitchen, a familiar scene that feels somewhat mundane. In this moment, he escapes into a vivid daydream of a luxurious kitchen, where he finds the courage to share some personal news with his parents. In this imagined setting, he tells them, "I'm gay," and envisions their surprise and support. However, this idyllic fantasy soon fades, bringing him back to reality.
