In 2016, Dr. Elaine Sisson was appointed as a Visiting Fellow at the Moore Institute, National University of Ireland Galway. Her fellowship centred on the intersection of Irish cultural history, modernity, and performance studies, with particular emphasis on theatre historiography and visual narratives of the Irish Free State period. Through this role, Dr Sisson delivered scholarly lectures and engaged in interdisciplinary research that advanced the understanding of Ireland’s cultural and artistic evolution in the 19th and 20th centuries. Her contributions during this period included public engagement, publication, and collaboration with academic peers nationally and internationally.
