Peter Evers serves as the Acting Programme Chair and Lecturer in Graphic Design at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT). Since joining IADT in 2015, he has established himself as a dedicated educator and researcher within the Graphic Design Programme, specialising in lens-based media with research interests encompassing technology, representation, and decision-making. Peter holds an MFA in Photography from Belfast School of Art, Ulster University.

As co-founder of the Public Design Lab (PDL) at IADT, established in 2019, Peter employs design and creative practices to foster community engagement for positive social impact. The PDL conducts advanced action-oriented research aimed at achieving meaningful social and environmental outcomes.

His contributions to the PDL include the 'Towards a Creative Dún Laoghaire' initiative, which strengthens connections between IADT and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council while creating opportunities for IADT graduates and creative professionals to maintain their practice within the region. This project utilises co-design tools and innovative research methodologies including design thinking, speculative design, and systems thinking to engage stakeholders effectively.

Peter played a supporting role in securing European funding for IADT's Digital Mythologies project and supported the Creative Futures Academy (CFA) modules at IADT in 2024. He serves on the Editorial Board of the IADT Journal of Research and Creativity (IJRC) and leads the Visual Communications elective in Fashion Photography.

With extensive professional experience, Peter has been commissioned to create over 3,000 photographs spanning diverse genres including fashion, portraiture, architecture, interiors, food, product, and illustration.
