Biography
I hold an MSc in Computer Science UCD (University College Dublin), a BSc (Hons) in Multimedia Systems and a BSc (Ord) in Multimedia Programming from IADT (Institute of Art Design & Technology, Dun Laoghaire).
I am a member of WITS (Women In Technology and Science) and INGENIC (Irish Network for Gender Equality in Computing) and a keen advocate for other underepresented groups in IT.
I am on the path to obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning from Technological University Shannon having completed modules in Teaching & Learning, Assessment for Teaching & Learning, Technology Enhanced Learning and Universal Design for Learning.
Research interests
I am embarking on N-TUTORR (National Technological University Tranformation for Resilience and Recovery) funded project as project lead.
Teaching
I lecture in subjects such as web development, computer programming, networks and digital skills. I work accross both faculties of FFACT (Faculty of Film, Art & Creative Technologies) and FEH (Faculty of Enterprise & Humanities) in IADT.
Other activities
I co-ordinate interdisciplinary FFACT cross faculty modules: 1st year Workshops, 2nd year Electives and the 1st year Connect module.
I am an IADT UDL champion and Sustainable higher education academic champion for the NTUTORR programme.
