Dr Elaine Sisson, Mel Galley, and Fiona Snow presented on the Creative Futures Academy. CFA operates as a collaborative partnership between the Institute of Art, Design + Technology (IADT), National College of Art and Design (NCAD), and University College Dublin (UCD), supported by the Higher Education Authority’s Human Capital Initiative.

CFA aims to enhance creative practice education through the development of innovative pedagogical models, industry engagement, and regional and international collaboration from 2021 to 2025. The Academy has implemented diverse initiatives including micro-credential frameworks, mentored pathways into the screen industries, creative process dialogues, industry co-development programs, and professional skills frameworks tailored to the creative industries.

Emphasising flexibility, lifelong learning, digital transformation, sustainability, and equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), CFA has generated significant impacts aligned with institutional and national strategic goals. Through 12 detailed case studies, CFA demonstrates effective strategies for future-proofing learning, industry collaboration, digital storytelling, XR technologies, and creative pedagogy mobility, contributing meaningfully to regional development and sectoral cohesion in higher education. This report encapsulates CFA's role in creative education innovation, workforce development, and building sustainable, inclusive learning ecosystems across the creative sectors.
