Description

In June 2022, the Institute of Art, Design + Technology (IADT) partnered with the Creative Approaches to Public Space (CAPS) Graduate School to host a three-day research and knowledge-exchange event themed ‘The City as Artscape’. The event, held at IADT and various locations around Dublin, brought together academics, arts practitioners, and postgraduate students to explore the dynamic relationship between the arts and public space.

Workshops, Seminars, and Site Visits:
Participants engaged in a rich programme including panel discussions, workshops, and guided site visits. Topics covered included practice-led research pedagogies, site-specific theatre, public art case studies, creative media technologies, and the role of arts in post-industrial cities.

Academic and Creative Input:
IADT staff facilitated and participated in panel discussions, workshops, and site visits, sharing their expertise in practice-based research, arts management, and creative media.
